The Market:

Here's the take from our Chicago Guru.

1) There are simply too many experts who are convinced a pullback has started (starting about three weeks ago).

2) There are simply too many non-experts (who control the largest pools of money), who are just now beginning to think we are officially out of the woods. And they are just now starting to look at "what else can we do" with our money and "maybe a stock mutual fund would be nice."

As for us...we still have one foot on the boat and one foot on the dock. We just cannot believe the mess is over with and everything's going to be just fine and dandy from here out. Yes there are still a whole slew of stocks out there that can make you a ton of money. And yes there are stocks out there, which have become fully priced. But for the market as a whole...it just ain't as attractive as it was 8 months ago. All we need is one down 500 day and we are back to paranoia.

1. Nexicon Sends A Message to Shareholders.

Okay, we as of this very second are going to go out on a limb and say it's a table pounding buy at $0.05 ($0.0425 to be exact).

Last week the company informed shareholders that their MARC technology was being introduced to the healthcare industry. At the center of the MARC technology is the ability to "monitor" any digitized information -- being passed along on the Internet. Not just movies, videos, software and games.

We've said this before, but we believe this is one of the most powerful and amazing technological advances (on the Internet) that we have ever come across. Now you may not believe this, because of the miniature stock price. But listen to this one example (our favorite) of Nexicon's monitoring capabilities as told by Tommy Stiansen, Nexicon's CTO last November.

It is admittedly a bit spooky ! But it shows the power or MARC in Digital Ranger, which is powered by Google's Earth, to identify and help take down the most prolific pirates – those who facilitate, promote, and profit from hosting or distributing copyrighted content.

"This morning, I grabbed my coffee, and decided to sit down and enjoy a trip around the globe in our DigitalRanger Earthview product, powered by Google Earth, which shows us and our clients digital piracy in real time. I perused many countries and regions until a tiny dot in the middle of the ocean caused me to take a big sip of my hot coffee. After zooming in on the little dot it became bigger and it showed 121 peers last in the last 24 hours, with a total of 511 infringements in the same time frame."

"I was thinking “Damn, this is a bug I have to fix.” I assumed the coordinate system had to be wrong, and I was about to call the engineer when I looked at the information behind the IP address which read: “Apo United States Navy”. I investigated it and came to the conclusion that the little dot in EarthView was accurate! After further research, I was able to determine that this little dot was a Navy ship, whose soldiers where using the Internet to download content from one of our clients, illegally.

Here is what he saw: http://www.nexiconinc.com/corpblog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/earth_apo001.jpg

And yes, we are watching you too !

Our crystal shiny ball says we can expect a four fold move from these levels. This is primarily a technical opinion, combined with a healthy dose of "gut feel."

We think you'll agree simply by taking a quick look at the 1 year chart, that the potential for a big move is in the offing.

1 Year Chart.
http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=nxco&sid=0&o_symb=nxco

A four fold increase would put the shares up around $0.20. The company has traded at those levels twice in the past three years.

3 Year Chart.
http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=nxco&sid=0&o_symb=nxco&freq=2&time=10

On a short, intermediate and long term basis, Nexicon (NXCO) is ranked as "very bullish" using an exponential moving average. The EMA analysis compares the short term (5,13), intermediate term (20) and long term (50) EMA's. The respective EMA's will give bullish signals when trading above trailing EMA's and below the current price and vice versa.

2. Jury Sends A Message to Music Industry.

Another Internet thief went down in flames on Friday. This is only the second to go to trial. Arrr Matey.

In his closing statement Friday, Harvard Law School professor Charles Nesson repeatedly referred to his client, 25 year old Joel Tenenbaum as a "kid" and asked the jury to award only a small amount to the recording companies. He told the jury to "send a message" to the music industry by awarding only minimal damages.

Well....send a message they did. They whacked "the kid" for $675,000. We think they should have fined him $675,000.99. Now that would have sent an even better message ! the $0.99 at the end would have served as a bitter reminder of what it would have cost him, if he had decided to pay for the music, instead of steal it.

We wonder if there is going to be a class held at Harvard called "Your Upside, Versus Client's Upside" which teaches law students to ignore the chance of winning fame and fortune, if your client is better off settling.

You have to wonder what was going on here and why it even went to trial. The attorney had the wisdom to tell his client to risk $4.5 million dollars (the maximum "the kid" could have been fined) versus settling with for $5,000 (the music industry has typically offered to settle such cases for about $5,000). That's pretty much a "no-brainer" in any court of logic.

On the other hand, If the Harvard Law School professor had won, his name would have gone down in history as the guy who "beat" the music industry as well as creating a massive amount of press for himself.

3. Is Your Child and Internet Pirate ?

We have a massive Library of articles on Internet Piracy.

This one if from 2005, but it's one of our favorites because we have many friends with teen age children who don't realize their kids are trafficking in stolen merchandise. As the article says, "..the whole system of buying or downloading the software makes the whole thing look legitimate, but it isn't and most kids don't realize that, let alone their parents."

4. Platinum Studios (PDOS), Finds Base.

Also, technically speaking...we believe that the shares of Platinum Studios has finally found a base and now also offers an excellent opportunity at $0.05, just as they "wrap" principal photography on their gothic thriller, Dead of Night."

Dead of Night: http://www.deadofnight-themovie.com/

StockTA, again using EMA analysis says the shares are "bullish" for the short and intermediate term and "very bullish" for the long term.

http://www.stockta.com/cgi-bin/analysis.pl?symb=PDOS&num1=2&cobrand=&mode=stock

Here's the basics, as we see it as for the attractiveness of the shares which when combined -- give us a warm and cuddly feeling...

1). The shares have stopped going down.
1.5). The shares are selling for only a nickel.
2). The market is once again rewarding micro-cap companies that release good news.
3). The movie is based on a comic book series which has sold 56 million units in 17 languages.
4). The movie is based on a comic book series which has sold 56 million units in 17 languages.
5). The movie is based on a comic book series which has sold 56 million units in 17 languages.
6). The movie was directed by Kevin Munroe, who resurrected "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" a $6 billion franchise.
7). The movie stars Brandon Routh (Superman).
8). It is produced by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, Plaitnum's CEO who brought "Men In Black" to Sony.
9). It is also produced by Ashok Amritraj, who produced or executive produced over 90 films with a worldwide gross in excess of $1 billion, Amritraj has worked with every major Studio in Hollywood.
10). Financing has been completed for the film. Yes, we said completed.
11). The film is now in post production with Academy Award winner Paul Hirsch (Star Wars). Yes, we said post production.

Add it all up and honestly, "what have you got to lose?"

This is a great little company which had the unfortunate timing of going public just as the bear market started and all when support for little companies, regardless of potential -- saw after market support vanish into thin air. The shares started out at a quarter and then it was $0.20, $0.15, $0.10 and finally to $0.05 ! Bad for them, but good for new shareholders. That would (could) be you !

It took a little spurt up to a dime in February but has since been trading sideways. This looks like an "epic" opportunity to us. If ever all the stars were aligned for a favorable stock investment, this has to be it.

And keep in mind. And this is very, very important. This is not a "one-trick" pony, meaning they have this one movie and that's it. The company is also developing "Cowboys & Aliens" with producers Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer and DreamWorks, Universal Pictures, Imagine Entertainment and Kurtzman/Orci (the writing team behind the "Transformers" franchise and the resurrected "Star Trek" franchise).

Wait a minute, did we just say Steven Spielberg ?

We're going to make this a table pounding buy too ! That's two table pounding buys for around nickel. It can't get any more fun than this.

Here is the chart from when they went public: http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=pdos&sid=0&o_symb=pdos&freq=1&time=9

5. Adding IAC/Interactive (IACI) to Watch List.

We had added IAC (IACI) to the Internet Stock Review Watch List at $14 and it has since moved up 32% to $18.50.

Now we are adding it to Hollywood Stock Review Watch List too. As a whole or on average, we expected Entertainment related companies to lag coming out of the bear market and they have. Now, as a whole or on average, we expect them to outperform -- so we are looking at the group much harder and expect to introduce many new names -- from mini-me micros to billion dollar international giants.

IAC just broke out this month, when it crossed $17 and is a long way from the $40 mark it traded back in late 2006.

1 Year Chart: http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=iaci&sid=0&o_symb=iaci

3 year Chart: http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=iaci&sid=0&o_symb=iaci&freq=2&time=10

IAC operates more than 50 leading and diversified Internet businesses across 30 countries. It's almost like owning an Internet/Entertainment mutual fund. Click here to see what we mean: http://www.iac.com/

In July the company announced that IAC and media entrepreneur Ben Silverman would be forming a new company "....to capitalize on the ever-evolving world of multimedia production and distribution, leveraging unique marketing expertise. The company, which will be headed by Ben Silverman, will unite producers, creators, advertisers and distributors under one roof and produce all forms of content for distribution across a variety of platforms around the world. This will be the industry's first global platform that connects advertisers, distributors and content creators early on in the development process, enabling advertisers to be a partner in campaigns and content creation."

6. Adding Crowdgather (CRWG) to Watch List.

We're adding Crowdgather (CRWG) $0.85, to the Hollywood Stock Review and the heels of their announcement of the acquisition of two new properties. While the forums they own and/or whose advertising they control is not limited to entertainment, we assume some of their more robust properties will be entertainment related.

The company has a relatively simple game plan, which is to amass the largest network of forums under one roof and then offer advertisers the ability to reach this audience, which will someday reach into the millions. It's fairly genius, if we must say so ourselves.

One of the recent acquisitions was MJHQ.com which is a fan site/forum. Just one forum within the site had 26,374 posts. http://www.mjhq.com/forums/index.php

The other acquisition was AdminFusion, which has 8,870 members. http://www.adminfusion.com/

We'll have a full report out this week, as they have just filed their 10K. http://xml.10kwizard.com/filing_raw.php?repo=tenk&ipage=6437729

7. Paid Inc. (PAYD). Got to Give them Credit !

"Give credit where credit's due" is the saying when we think of when we look at Paid's chart.

The shares have traded from $0.10 in March to $0.43, a 430% gain ! How nice is that.

Chart: http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=payd&sid=0&o_symb=payd

They're like the energizer bunny. Well paste a recent press release that they issued back in June, which sums it all up.
